Representing traditional music and dance of over 56 groups from the heart of the Rift Valley including Special Guests from Northern Kenya.

Every year since 2004 something extraordinary has taken place in the stunning lakeside town of Arba Minch in Southern Ethiopia

The 1000 Stars Festival is a vibrant and colourful celebration of cultural diversity. It's a unique opportunity to experience, first hand, the varied culture and music of an exceptional part of our world.

As part of the celebrations, over 1000 performers representing more than 56 ethnic and language groups from all over the south of Ethiopia (see below) perform in Arba Minch. Many come from very remote areas. This three day event attracts well over 50,000 visitors.

This unique Festival has quickly become one of Africa's most renowned celebrations of cultural diversity.
